720 Covid Cases Across Ireland
The 27th of March saw a total of 720 new COVID-19 cases across the Island of Ireland. The HSE and the Department of health announced 604. In Northern Ireland 116 cases were detected. In total there have been 351,491 COVID cases since the pandemic began in 2020.
Republic of Ireland
The headline figures show a total of 604 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 27th of March, with 12 deaths reported. Overall 4,666 COVID related deaths have been announced.
The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for March 26th. The total number admitted to hospital with COVID-19 was 13,486 cases, a daily increase of 26
A total of 15 Health Care Workers were diagnosed with COVID-19 on March 26th. A total of 28,038 health care workers contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.
The weekending the 27th of March saw an increase in cases of 84 from the previous week, the total number diagnosed was 3,942 between the 21st and 27th of March. A total of 79 people were reported to have died that week, an increase of 26 from the previous week.
Northern Ireland
The Northern Irish Health Department announced 116 cases. They reported 2 COVID related deaths, 2,111 have died in the north since the pandemic began.
1 person was admitted to hospital on the 27th of March. The total numbers admitted to hospital since the pandemic began is 9,153.
The weekending the 27th of March saw a decrease in cases of 18 from the previous week, the total number diagnosed was 1,018 between the 21st and 27th of March.
