4,918 Covid Cases Across Ireland

A total of 4,918 COVID-19 cases were detected across the Island of Ireland. The HSE and the Department of health announced 3,498. In Northern Ireland 1,052 cases were detected. 260,382 COVID cases have been detected since the pandemic began in 2020.


Republic of Ireland

The headline figures show a total of 3,498 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 14th of January, with 50 deaths reported. Overall 2,536 COVID related deaths have been announced.

The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for January 13th. The total number admitted to hospital with COVID-19 was 8,317 cases, UP 529 over the last 48 hours.

A total of 1,676 Health Care Workers were diagnosed with COVID-19 on January 12th and 13th. A total of 16,135 health care workers contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.

Northern Ireland

The Northern Irish Health Department announced 1,052 cases. They report 26 COVID related deaths, 1,559 have died in the north since the pandemic began.

33 people were admitted to hospital. The total numbers admitted to hospital since the pandemic began is 6,774.
