J1 Tragedy

The hearts and minds of Irish people across the world are today with the friends and families of the young people who have died in a tragic accident in Berkley, California. There are no words to describe the sadness and feelings of Irish people today.

Those who died where named as Ashley Donohoe 22, Olivia Burke, 21, Eimear Walsh, 21; Eoghan Culligan, 21, Niccolai Schuster, 21 and Lorcan Miller, 21.

Their families and the families of those injury are now on the worst journey of the lives to San Francisco. Our hearts and minds are with them at this tragic time.

The flag will be flown at half-mast tomorrow across all Irish government buildings.
