TV3 to Broadcast FA Cup Final

TV3 have just added the FA Cup Final to its sporting events. This comes with news that it had retained UEFA Champions League coverage and the coverage of the Rugby World Cup 2015. TV3 is heating up the pressure on competitors Setanta Sports, Sky Sports and RTÉ2, as it begins picking up more sporting events since losing UEFA Europa League to Setanta Sports, GAA to Sky Sports and ITV Soaps to new entrant UTV Ireland. TV3 has been steadly holding on to 8% of the TV audience since the depature of ITV soaps, but it has increased its audience for Champions League and Britian's Got Talent. It is expected to repeat this success with Live coverage of the FA Cup Final and the Rugby World Cup 2015.

Pat Kiely, TV3 Group Commercial Director, said: “The FA Cup Final has always been one of the biggest events in the football calendar and we are thrilled to make the Wembley occasion available to our viewers. The Road to Wembley this year has provided plenty of surprises and the final promises to be a great occasion, with more than a little interest for Irish soccer fans. Off the back of our new three year deal with UEFA for Champions League Tuesdays until 2018 and our exclusive coverage of Rugby World Cup 2015, TV3 continues to offer some of the biggest event programming in Ireland for our viewers and advertisers.”
