Dublin Film Festival Line Up Announced

The Jameson Dublin International International Film Festival will run from 13 February to 23 February 2014 across 11 cinema screens around the city. The full line up of events were announce on Monday (20/01/2013). The festival is in its 12 year and will included over 135 films with 16 short films screening, 27 documentaries and 13 must see film galas. 17 new Irish feature length films have also be selected to be screened at this years festival.

The Stag will close the festival on Sunday 23 February. Cast and Crew of the anticipated Irish comedy from director John Butler will attend the closing gala.

Richard Dreyfuss, Terry Gilliam, John Hurt, Jason Priestley, Brenda Fricker, James Fox, Jean-Marc Barr, Pollyanna McIntosh, Richard Ayoade, David Mackenzie, Jonathan Glazer and Peter Morgan will be seen around the 11 day festival.

High notes of the festival will be Big Sur with Jean Marc-Barr; Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel; the adaptation of Half of a Yellow Sun starring Thandie Newton; Irish filmmaker Alan Gilsenan’s two films, Eliza Lynch: Queen of Paraguay and A Vision: A Life of WB Yeats; the enchanting A Long Way From Home starring Brenda Fricker and James Fox; and the gripping A Thousand Times Good Night starring Juliette Binoche and Maria Doyle Kennedy.

John Michael McDonagh's Calvary will open the festival at the Opening Night Gala. Other Irish films at the festival include Come into the Gardens, Love Eternal, Out of Here, Living in a Coded Land and The Food Guide to Love.

There will be 180 festival volunteers on hand at the 11 day event.

Jaws is this years Jameson Cult Film Club event with Richard Dreyfuss taking part in a public interview following the screening.
