Limerick Road Hijack

A hijacking occurred on the M20 in Limerick, in which a man in his 30s was forced off the road as he was travelling southbound in his car. He was threatened at knife point and money was taken from him. He was taken to Limerick Regional Hospital, his injures were not life threatening and he was later released. Two men and two women have been arrested in connection with the Hijacking.

Following searches four people were arrested. Two men aged 25 and 31 are being detained at Roxboro Road Garda Station, while the two women aged 28 and 31 are currently detained at Henry Street Garda Station in Limerick City. One of the women has since been released. A file is being prepared for the DPP.
