Man Stabbed in Drogheda

UPDATE: Gardaí are now investgating the murder of Wayne McQuinnlan (30), after considering the post mortem results. A 40 year old woman remains in custody in relation to the murder.

A 30 year old man was killed after he was stabbed. The incident occurred in the early hours of New Year's Day 2014. The incident occurred in the Rathmullen Park area of Drogheda. A 40 year old woman has been arrested in connection with the stabbing and had been detained at Drogheda Garda Station.

The stabbed man was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, where he was later pronounced dead. A post mortem is to be arranged.
