Finglas Murder

A man and a woman have been arrested by Gardaí following a fatal shooting in Finglas on Sunday (15/12/2013). The man is believed to be in his 20s, while the woman is in her 30s. Both have been detained at Finglas Garda Station, under section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.

A man in his 40s was fatally shoot at 17:00 on Sunday (15/12/2013). The shooting took place on the Ballycoolin Road. The man was shot by a lone gunman and was taken to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown where he was pronounced dead.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination and the Ballycoolin Rd is currently closed from the Premier Business Park to the Cappagh Road. This section of Road is expected to remain closed overnight.
