New Schedule for BBC Radio Ulster

BBC NI have announced major changes to its weekday afternoon and weekend morning schedules on BBC Radio Ulster. The changes are due to take place in the new year. New shows from presenters Kerry McLean, Gerry Kelly and Kim Lenaghan will be introduced from the 18 January 2014.

Kerry McLean will move from her current weekend slot to midweek, Gerry Kelly will replicate his Saturday show on Friday afternoons, while Kim Lenaghan moves to Weekend mornings.

Alan Simpson leaves weekday afternoons and returns with a new show in the new year focusing on the north coast of Ireland.

Kerry McLean will present a family focused show. It will air from 15:00 to 17:00 Monday to Thursday. It will offer film reviews, family issues and upcoming events in Northern Ireland. Gerry Kelly will take to the chair on Fridays from 15:00 to 17:00, while continuing with his existing Saturday programme. The weekend will see the station open with Kim Lenaghan with her new weekend slot at 07:00.
