Foxes to appear at Tribeca Film Festival

Lorcan Finnegan's short Foxes is set for The Tribeca Film Festival. It joins Irish features Babygirl, Death of A Superhero and the Irish documentary El Gusto.

This comes on the success of Foxes' world premiere at this week's South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas.

Written by Garret Shanley, Foxes tells the story of a young couple trapped in a remote "ghost"  housing estate. There they hear the shrieking of foxes beckoned from the isolation  into a twilight world.  The film was produced by Brunella Cocchiglia for Lovely Productions as part of the Bord Scannán na hÉireann/Irish Film Board's Signatures scheme.

Lorcan Finnegan has directed the short Invention and the short short Changes.

Foxes will appear as one of 60 short films at Robert De Niro's festival next month and screens in the Fallout - Narrative section. Other Irish shorts include Screenshot written and directed by Cathal Burke. It follows the story of Kate who meets an old friend on the internet and discovers how inhospitable the internet can be.

Thomas Martin's All That Way For Love will also screen at the festival. This comes following the news that his short Can't See You Anymore was selected for the Signature's project. It will be directed by Michael Kinirons and produced by Ailish Bracken for Blinder Films.
