Key to this will be exploiting the strengths that we have developed and building on industries and sectors already thriving here. Today’s announcement that Danone, a world-leading company in this particular sector, is investing €20million in its Wexford manufacturing plant and creating 45 jobs is a real endorsement of the quality of our agriculture and our industry, and is great news for the South East. I welcome the continued support from Danone and look forward to building on this announcement in the years to come.”

Donal Courtney, Managing Director, Danone Ireland said: “We are delighted to announce our plans for further expansion in Ireland. Danone Baby Nutrition’s focus on research and innovation continues to enhance the nutritional value of our products for infants and toddlers leading to continued growth in demand from across Europe for our milk products which include Aptamil and Cow & Gate."
