815 Covid Cases Across Ireland

Eight hundred and fifteen COVID-19 cases have been announced across the Island of Ireland tonight. This brings the total cases to 135,897. The HSE and the Department of health announced 329 new cases in the Republic of Ireland, meanwhile in Northern Ireland 486 new cases were announced.


Republic of Ireland

The headline figures show a total of 329 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 14th of December, with 8 death reported. Overall 2,134 COVID related deaths have been announced.

The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for December 13th. The total number admitted to hospital stands at 5,451 cases, up 16.

A total of 44 health care workers were reported to have been infected. A total of 12,557 health care workers have contracted COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.

Northern Ireland

Figures announced by the Northern Irish Health Department show an increase in cases of 486 to 59,121 cases in total. The total admissions to hospital in Northern Ireland is 4,679, up 12.

Northern Ireland recorded six further deaths. There have been 1,135 COVID related deaths.
