2,206 Covid Cases Across Ireland

Two thousand, two hundred and six COVID-19 cases were announced across the Island of Ireland tonight. This brings the total cases to 83,414. The HSE and the Department of health announce 1,167 new cases in the Republic of Ireland, meanwhile in Northern Ireland 1,039 new cases were announced.


Republic of Ireland

The headline figures show a total of 1,167 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 20th of October, with 3 new deaths reported. Overall 1,868 COVID related deaths have been announced.

The HSE and Department of Health also announced full hospital figures for October 19th, thirty-nine ases were health care workers. The total number admitted to hospital stands at 4,055 cases (up 34).

Northern Ireland

Figures announced by the Northern Irish Health Department show an increase in cases of 1,039 to 29,992 cases in total. The total admissions to hospital in Northern Ireland is 2,404 (Up 39).

Northern Ireland recorded five further deaths. There have been 629 COVID related deaths in Northern Ireland.
