BAI and CMF re-open Co-Funding

The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) and the Canada Media Fund (CMF) have announced the re-opening of audio-visual projects under their join funding venture. The announcement took place at Mediacon in Vancouver. Irish Ambassador to Canada, Jim Kelly, launched the funding. The 18th of January is the deadline for the second phase of funding under the scheme. €140,000 is the total amount available in 2017, with each a maximum of €35,000 for each award. In 2016 and 2017 4 projects were given funding worth 120,000 euro.

The funding is not just limited to producers in Ireland and Canada, however a partner company must be based in either country, with filming and editing also taking place in both countries.
