Philip Finnegan Murder

A man in his 30s has appear before Naas District Court, he was charged in connection to the investigation into the murder of Philip Finnegan . Philip Finnegan's body was found in Rahin Wood in Kildare on the 2nd of September 2016.

Leixlip Gardaí began an investigation into Philip Finnegan's Death following the following the discovery of his body in Rahin Wood, Co. Kildare, 2nd September 2016.

Philip Finnegan was reported missing from his home at Mary Aikenhead House, Dublin 8 on Wednesday the 10th of August 2016.

The location was sealed off to facilitate an examination by members of the Garda Technical Bureau. A post-mortem examination by the Assistant State Pathologist Dr. Bolster took place at Naas General Hospital on the 4th of September.

Speaking at Leixlip Garda Station at the time of the discovery, Inspector Paul Dolan said "Investigating Gardaí are appealing for information and in particular to anyone who visited Rahin Wood near Carbury, Co. Kildare, during the month of August to come forward and contact the Incident Room at Leixlip Garda Station.

The scene remains sealed off for a technical examination.
