Coolock Shooting

The victim of a fatal shooting in Coolock in Co. Dublin as been named as James Tighe Ennis (24). The shooting took place on the 28th of October 2017. Mr. Ennis was shot at around 2:20 on Moatview Avenue. The scene was sealed for examination and the State Pathologist was notified.

James Tighe Ennis was from the Artane area of Dublin.

A postmortem examination is being carried out by Dr. Margret Bolster.

The Gardaí have also issued a description of the vehicle used in the attack. A 2000 black Audi A3 with an Offaly registration, 00-OY-5067.

Gardaí are looking to speak to people who may have seen the vehicle during the period 11pm Friday, 27th October to 4am Saturday, 28th October 2017. In particular, they would like to speak to anyone who may have noticed the car in the general areas of Clonshaugh, Priorswood, M50, Finglas Road, The Griffith and Fairlawn Estate, Finglas.

They would like to hear from drivers who may have dash-cams and who travelled in these areas during the relevant time; they are appealing to taxi drivers who may have been in the area.
