RTÉ saw their share market share increase by 5% in September. TV3 were also up 7%, while TG4 was up 16%. On a yearly basis RTÉ was down 3% from this time last year, while TV3 was up 3% and TG4 was up 10%. Overall Irish Channels saw a 1% decrease in August from the same time last year.

September TV sees an increase in audience for RTÉ with the arrival of some new programming. RTÉ ONE was up 7% from this time last month, and losing over 15 percent from this time last year. RTÉ ONE had a total average audience of 17.38%. RTÉ2 was up 5% from last month and was up nearly 50% from this time last year. RTÉ2 had an average audience of 7.22% for September. RTÉ ONE +1 had 0.75% share, with RTÉjr getting 0.7%.

Over in TV3 land September saw a monthly increase, but little change from September last year. TV3 was up 18% from last month, but as to be expect up 48% from this time last year, with the return of the ITV soaps. TV3 had a total audience share of 11.40%. 3e was down 13% from last month and up 15% from this time last year. 3e had a total audience of 2.67% in September. be3, which took over from UTV Ireland, was down 63% from UTV Ireland's figure last year, again down this time to the loss of the ITV soaps, the channel was down 9% from last month. be3 had an average share of 2.16%.

TG4 saw a 16% increase from last month and 10% from this time last year. TG4 had an average audience share of 2.37%.

RTÉ total audience share was 26.05%, with TV3 having 16.79% for the month of September.

eir Sport 1 had 0.07%. Other channels accounted for 54.72% of the total viewing audience.
