CAB Place Freeze following Dublin and Wexford Raids
The Criminal Assets Bureau have place a freeze on accounts in a financial institution today (Wednesday 19 July 2017). The freeze follows raids in Dublin and in Wexford. A Horsebox, jewelry and documents were also seized during the raid.
An operation by the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) has lead to the freeze of money in a financial institution under the Criminal Justice Act (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) Act 2010. According to the Gardaí the value of the freeze is substanctial.
The freeze comes following a search of Ballyfermot, Finglas, Ballyboughal in Dublin and in Courtown in Co. Wexford.
A horsebox was seized along with jewelry and documents.
Investigations are continuing.
