May TV 2017
RTÉ see their audience share drop 2% month-on-month, with a drop of nearly 4% from May 2016. TV3 saw an increase of 9% month-on-month with the help of Britain's Got Talent, however it was just slight up from this time last year.
May TV see a fall in audience for RTÉ. RTÉ ONE was down 4% from this time last month, and lossing just over one percent from this time last year. RTÉ ONE had a total average audience of 17.95%. RTÉ2 was up 9% from last month but was down nearly 13% from this time last year. RTÉ2 had an average audience of 5% for may. RTÉ ONE +1 had 0.85% share, with RTÉjr getting 0.56%.
Over in TV3 land Britain's Got Talent help up their set of channel. TV3 was up 11% from last month, but as to be expect up 43% from this time last year, with the return of the ITV soaps. TV3 had a total audience share of 11.66%. 3e was up 3% from last month and up 8% from this time last year. 3e had a total audience of 2.6% in May. be3, which took over from UTV Ireland, was down 60% from UTV Ireland figure last year, again down this time to the loss of the ITV soaps, however the channel was up 5% from last month. 3e had an average share of 2.35%.
TG4 did not fair well in May with a drop in audience of 39% for the month and 15% from this time last year. TG4 had an average audience share of just 1.63%.
RTÉ total audience share was 24.36%, with TV3 having 17.15% for the month of May.
UTV had an audience of 1.31% in May.
