Irish General Election Opinion Poll

The Latest Red C/Sunday Business Post opinion poll shows some good news for Fine Gael as it reached 29%, the poll was carried out following Enda Kenny Announcement that he was to resign as Leader of the party.

Fianna Fail had a 21% an unwanted drop for the party who had been averaging 25% since the General Election a year ago.

Sinn Fein was also down to 15%. A similar poll carried out by the Sunday Business Post had the party at 18% in April.

Other Parties and Independents had 35%. The Labour Party remained at 6%, the Social Democrats had 4%, the Green Party and Solidarity-PBP had 3% each, ReNua had 1%, The government group of Independents had 3%. Outside of these grouping 15% would vote for others.
