Golden Globes Live 2017

LA LA Land stole the show at the Golden Globes. They took the awards for best score, best song, best actor in a musical, best actress in a musical, best director, best screenplay and best comedy musical. Irish hopefuls we unfortunate particularly Sing Street which was up against the goliath that was LA LA Land, a similar faith befell Colin Farrell who lost to Ryan Gosling, the award for best actress in a Drama went to Isabelle Huppert in Ruth Negga's category. Moonlight won best film.

Opening number takes the second biggests musical of the year La La Land with a host of stars and that other Canadian actor, Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake. Actually better than they movie, note I am not a fan of La La Land.

Ryan Reynolds and Emma Stone for Best Supporting Actor the winner is Arron Taylor Johnston Nocturnal Animals.

Best Actor in a TV Series goes to Billy Bob Thornton for Goliath.

Tracy Ellis Ross wins best supporting actor in a comedy for Blackish.

Atlanta gets best TV Comedy presented by Timothy olyphant and Drew Barrymore.

Best Actress Mini Series Sarah Paulson wins for The People V OJ Simpson.

Best Miniseries goes to The People V OJ Simpson.

Hugh Laurie takes Best Supporting Actor for Night Manager in a miniseries.

Best Original Score goes to LA LA Land. City Of Stars get the best song award for LA LA Land.

The Batman Micheal Keaton presents Best Supporting Actress Film to Viola Davis for her role in Fences.

Oliva Coleman won Best Actress in a Miniseries for The Night Manager.

Best Actor in a Musical/Comedy went to Ryan Gosling for LA LA Land.

LA LA Land wins best screenplay by Damien Chazelle.

Zootopia wins best Animated Feature. Not a great film. My Life as A Courgette should have won.

French film Elle won the best foreign movie.

Best Actor in a Miniseries Tom Hiddleston for The Night Manager, the 3rd win for the series.

Claire Foy wins for best TV actress and The Crown won the Best TV Series.

Meryl Streep accepts her Cecil B. Demille by showing how diverse Hollywood. She mentions the election of Donald Trump and the disrespect that invites disrespect. She calls on the Press to safegaurd the truth.

Damien Chazelle wins best Director for LA LA Land.

Donald Glover wins for best Actor in a TV Comedy for his role in Atlanta.

Emma Stone wins for LA LA Land.

Best Musical and Comedy went to LA LA Land.

Casey Affleck take Best Actor in a Film Drama for Manchester by the Sea.

Elle wins its second Golden Globes for Isabelle Huppert, sadly Sing Street, Ruth Negga and Colin Farrell did not get a globe.

With Moonlight winning the best Drama Award.
