The Welsh Labour Party held on to their overall majority at the Senedd Cymru - Welsh Parliamentary Elections 2021. The party took 30 of the sixty seats, with the Conservative Party taking 16. Pro-independence party Plaid Cymru took 13, while the Liberal Democrats took the final seat.
The Six Nations Rugby have announced an end to the postponed Six Nations Championship, following the decision of the World Rugby Council on the 30th of July. The Championship will resume on the 24th of October in Lansdowne Road, Dublin. Ireland will face Italy. That is then followed on Halloween by Wales V Scotland, Italy V England and finally France V Ireland in the Stade de France. \r\n\r\n

Ireland took home the awards for TV Comedy (BBC NI's Soft Boarder), Current Affairs (RTÉ's Carers in Crisis), Factual Entertainment (RTÉ's The Rotunada), History (Channel 4's The Ballymurphy Precedent), Radio Comedy (BBC Ulster's A Perforated Ulster), Radio Documentary (RTÉ's Doc on One, In Shame, Love, In Shame), Radio Magazine Show (BBC Ulster's The John Toal Show), Film Documentary (The Man Who Wanted To Fly) and Spirit of the Festival for TG4's Lomax in Éirinn.
Results of the UK's general election. The Exit poll will be announced by the BBC at 10pm tonight. We will list all of the elected members of the election as they arrive in. The exit poll carried out by the BBC suggests the Conservatives will have 316 seats just 10 short of a majority, while their coalition partners will just retain 10 seats. UKIP are unlikely to make major gains suggesting just 2 seats, while it is expected that the SNP could take all but one Scottish seat. No exit poll was carried out in Northern Ireland.
