None of the Irish TV broadcasters picked up FIFA's Women's World Cup, which begins in Canada tomorrow (6/6/15). While there is no Irish interest in the tournament with neither Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland qualifying for the games. CCÉ contacted all of the Irish broadcasters about their plans to cover the Women's World Cup all failed to respond to the request for information. The EBU signed an agreement for live broadcast and online coverage for the match for 17 EBU member states including the Republic of Ireland. The new president of the EBU is RTÉ's head of Television, Glen Killane (former Head of Sports with the broadcaster). No arrangement was made by any of the Irish broadcasters to attain the broadcast rights, even placing agreements for coverage with RTÉ or the EBU.
The Republic's ladies team are at their training camp in La Manga, Spain. Team manager Sue Ronan has said she is pleased with their training, the squad linked up with Holland during the week. A practice match in four quarters featured 19 of the Irish squad, with Dora Gorman absent due to illness. The squad continue training in La Manga until Friday (18 Jan 2014).
The Derry Football Forward has signed a new contract with Irish League soccer side Coleraine and is expect to be part of the team until May. Bradley will miss the entire Allianz League. Bradley has been a major success at Coleraine scoring nine goals in his first full season in the Danske Bank Premiership. The 30 year old was hoping to divide his time between Derry and Coleraine but Derry manager Brian McIver asked him to choose one or the other. The Derry manager has left the door open for Bradley to return to GAA Football.
The soccer (The Football Association of Ireland) has announce that Ireland will play England in two friendly matches over the next two years. The first match will be played in Wembley on May 29, 2013 and the second will be play in Lansdowne Road in November 2014.

The soccer and Bus Éireann launched the '12/'13 season of the Bus Éireann Women's National League, which starts this weekend. Castlebar, Cork, Peamount, Raheney, Shamrock Rovers, Wexford Youths and new comers DLR Waves were all represented at the Aviva Stadium at the official launch. The league is in it second year and has established itself as the cornerstone of women's soccer in Ireland, allowing for top women players to improve their skills at a league level at home.
Shamrock Rovers have a clean sheet at home in the first leg of the European competition. They will now aim to continue in Lithuania tonight where they take on Panevežys at 18:00 tonight (24/07/2012).
Giovanni Trapattoni announced on Friday (20/07/12) his squad for the football friendly between the Republic of Ireland and Serbia on August 15, 2012. The match will take place in the Red Star Stadium in Belgrade, Serbia. The announcement was made in Donegal at the Festival of Football in Ballyboyfey. Trapattoni said "This friendly offers us a great opportunity to try out younger players ahead of our World Cup qualifying campaign. As a result, I have decided to leave some of our senior players out of the squad for this fixture. Serbia are a very good team with a great football heritage, and will provide us with a great test before our game against Kazakhstan in September".
