County Donegal has been placed into Level 3 of Ireland\'s Resilience and Recovery Plan for living with Covid-19. The measures come into place from Midnight on Friday, September 25th. Donegal will remain at Level 3 for a period of 3 weeks, until Friday, 16th October. It will be then reviewed based on the status of the virus and the public health advice. Schools and early learning centres will remain open but all Third Level colleges will be closed.
The death of a 40 year old quad biker has resulted after he came off his bike. He as traveling on a local road in Mullinboys, Mountcharles Co. Donegal on Sunday evening, 16th June 2019.
Met Eireann, the Irish Meteorological Office, has issued a level Orange warning for the counties of Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Longford, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo. Snow showers will occur this evening, tonight and during Friday. Accumulations of 4 to 8 cm expected, with the larger values on high ground. Icy roads and footpaths.

The Finn Valley Athletic Club in Co. Donegal announced their Fit 4 Life Leaders. The announcement was made at their annual athletics Christmas celebration. The four leaders are Mark Connolly, Dermot McGranaghan, Mary Martin and John/Louise Mailey.
