Two hundred and seventy-four COVID-19 cases were announced by the HSE tonight, this brings the total cases to 32,538 in the Republic of Ireland. The HSE and Department of Health also announced full hospital figures for September 17th, nine cases were health care workers. Ten people were admitted to hospital. The total number admitted to hospital stands at 3,500 cases. Figures announced by the Northern Irish Health Department show an increase in cases of 222 to 9,165 in total. No hospitalizations occurred in Northern Ireland, the total number admitted remains at 1,618, since the begin of the COVID-19 crisis.

The HSE and Department of Health also announced full hospital figures for September 16th, Sixteen cases were health care workers. Thirteen people were admitted to hospital. The total number admitted to hospital stands at 3,490 cases. Figures announced by the Northern Irish Health Department show an increase in cases of 163 to 8,943 in total. Six hospitalizations occurred in Northern Ireland bring the number to 1,618 hospitalized, since the begin of the COVID-19 crisis.

Two hundred and fifty-four covid cases were announced by the HSE tonight, this brings the total cases to 31,799 in the Republic of Ireland. The HSE and Department of Health also announced full hospital figures for September 14th, twenty cases were health care workers. Seven people were admitted to hospital. The total number admitted to hospital stands at 3,469 cases. Figures announced by the Northern Irish Health Department show a total of 8,631 in total with 1,618 hospitalized, since the begin of the COVID-19 crisis.

New Phased Approach to Covid Lockdown

The Government of Ireland have announced a new phased approached to COVID19 restrictions. The new plan will be called Resilience and Recovery Plan for Living with COVID-19. The plan covers a set of new levels. The document explains that the levels will be in operation at local level and explains how the level is decided. It covers different parts of society including: travel, work, public transport, older and medically vulnerable people, business, events, sporting activities, education and nursing homes.
