The Criminal Assets Bureau arrested a man and a woman on the suspicion of money laundering. The arrest took place on Monday (1st July, 2019). The arrest was made under Section 7 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007. They remain in custody at the Clondalkin Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

The Gardaí have carried out nationwide searches following an investigation into an Organised Crime Gang based in Dublin's Cabra. The Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB), The Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Emergancy Response Units assisted in the armed searches. Gardaí from DMR West and Wexeford Division carried out 24 searches in Cabra, Finglas, Monkstown, Leixlip, Courtown and Gorey.
