BBC 3 is to return to television screens in 2022. The BBC say that this is to provide more value to their audiences. The channel was launch as the BBC\'s youth channel in 2003, taking over from BBC Choice, the channel remained on the air until 2016, when the BBC moved the channel to online only. Since then its been the home of hit drama\'s such as Killing Eve, Fleabag and Normal People.
The Irish based drama series from the BBC and Screen Ireland, Normal People, has been nominated for four Emmy awards, which will take place on 20th September 2020. The series nominees are Paul Mescal for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie, Lenny Abrahamson for Outstanding Directing for a Limited Series, Movie or Dramatic Special, Sally Rooney and Alice Birch are nominated for Outstanding Writing for a Limited Series, Movie or Dramatic Special and The series also received a nomination for Outstanding Casting for a Limited Series, Movie or Special.
The BBC have announced they are to remove TV channel BBC Three from traditional TV broadcast and move it to online only. The planned move was put into motion 6 months ago when the BBC executive asked the BBC trust for the move. The trust set out a number of conditions for the move, but it is expected to be complete by the beginning of 2016. A final decision will be made on the 27th of July.
