Sky News Soars on Saorview

Since the arrival of Sky News to Saorview in November the 24 hour UK news services has become the 5th most watch TV channel, growing its audience from 0.87% in November 2021 to 3.6% in March 2021. The channel was added to the Free-To-Air terrestrial service in late November 2021. Sky channels now command nearly 10% of the TV viewing audience, while Virgin Media TV had a 20% share across its channels, with RTÉ having a 29% share. The most viewed programme was Ireland V England on March 12th with 778,500 viewers, while Ireland V Scotland on VMTV one had 683,600 viewers in second place.

Figures announced by the Northern Irish Health Department show an increase in cases of 934 to 12,886 cases in total. The total admissions to hospital is 1,860 (up 5) since the begin of the COVID-19 crisis in Northern Ireland. Meanwhile, in the Republic of Ireland there were Four hundred and sixty-six COVID-19 cases announced tonight. This brings the total cases to 37,063. The HSE and Department of Health also announced full hospital figures for September 30th, thirty-three cases were health care workers. Fourteen people were admitted to hospital. The total number admitted to hospital stands at 3,631 cases.

Two hundred and forty covid cases were announced by the HSE tonight, this brings the total cases to 32,023 in the Republic of Ireland. The HSE and Department of Health also announced full hospital figures for September 15th, twenty-one cases were health care workers. Eight people were admitted to hospital. The total number admitted to hospital stands at 3,477 cases. Figures announced by the Northern Irish Health Department show a total of 8,780 in total(a daily increase of 149) with 1,622 hospitalized, since the begin of the COVID-19 crisis.\r\n\r\n
