Best Death and Best Monsters awarded to Irish Films at FrightFest
Best Death has been awarded to the Irish killer clown comedy Stitches, while creature feature Grabbers took Best Monster (non-human) at the 13th Film4 FrightFest. FrightFest is held in London's Leicester Square and is the UK's première international fantasy and horror film festival. The five day event is hosted in the Empire Cinema. Conor McMahon's Stiches had its World Première, it follows the story of a clown that dies in a fatal accident and returns from the dead to exact revenge on a group of teenagers. Erin Island is the setting for Jon Wright's Grabbers, the idyllic Irish village is attacked by squid like creatures known as Grabbers.
